Cymodocea rotundata is a seagrass species that occupy habitats in the intertidal zone. The ability of this to zone thought be related its particular morphological adaptations response fluctuations local aquatic environmental conditions. This study aims describe habitat conditions, distribution density, differences, and growth among C. stands upper, middle, lower zones Yankarwar Beach, Manokwari, West Papua. Transects quadrats methods were used collect samples, so information on their density could obtained. samples collected also analyzed (counted measured) for characters including number leaves, leaf length, width, horizontal sheath internode root stand weight, rhizome weight. Seagrass was obtained by marking leaves observing them 10 days. results indicate conditions physicochemical parameters waters are still suitable species. highest found upper (3,161.73 stands.m-2) followed middle (962.04 stands.m-2). Although most seagrasses parts relatively same between three zones, larger widths lengths internodes two zones. Differences as reflected increase length dry weight showed greater values condition shows adaptability variations parameter In addition, presence rotundata, especially environment which has an important ecological role, substrate stabilizer. Therefore, vegetation conservation effort very important.
